TNIS Musical Instrument Lesson Information for 2017 – At TNIS you can organise for your child to have a lesson with a tutor on a variety of instruments during school time. We can cater for students at all levels of skill and experience. If your child has learnt the piano already, perhaps consider learning an orchestral instrument that they could then play in a secondary school band or orchestra in the future.
Group lessons are available on – clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, bass guitar, flute and drums. Lessons cost $12 per week for a lesson with up to four students. Bass Guitar lessons are in groups of two for $15 per week. Lessons will be invoiced twice a year.
Students are expected to attend their lesson on time and every week, even if they have forgotten their instrument. Occasionally a student will have a class trip or sports’ day on their music lesson day. Catch-up lessons will be organised for these students and it is the responsibility of the student to ask their tutor for a catch-up lesson.
Unfortunately, we cannot refund money if students are absent because of illness or family holidays. Students should be practising at least three times every week for 20 minutes to ensure they make good, steady progress. Students must commit to lessons for the whole year.

TNIS Extracurricular Groups Information for 2017 – Want to join a Music, Dance, Drama, Technology or Environmental group at lunchtime or after school? Today we shared information about the extracurricular groups that we are currently offering. There may be some additional groups added later in the year. We would encourage the students to join at least one group but to leave themselves time to play with their friends. Some groups are auditioned and some are open to all students. The different groups are timetabled throughout the week, before, during and after school. Please click this link to see the timetable.
