TNIS is part of the Auckland Regional Dental Service (ARDS). The Auckland Regional Dental Service is funded to provide free dental care to children from birth through to the end of Year 8.  Following this, tamariki from Year 9 are transferred to the Adolescent services to continue free dental care up until their 18th birthday.

All babies born in Auckland’s main hospitals are automatically registered with the free Children’s Community Dental Service. If your child is new to Auckland or New Zealand, they may not be registered with us. To enrol/register your child, please visit THE WEBSITE.

At your first visit to ARDS, usually when your child was a preschooler, you will have given consent for various procedures by the school dental therapists. If you wish to review or change these permissions, please contact ARDS directly. Our School dental therapists rely on and check the ARDS information before embarking on any treatment.
