Kapa Haka is an opportunity for learners to gather together to practise and perform Māori songs and dance. Boys have an opportunity to practise their skills with the taiaha and the girls to practise their skills with the poi.
The group is an integral part of school whakatau when we welcome visitors and newcomers to our school. They also perform at assemblies and special events like our Matariki Celebration and Māori Language week. Our kapa haka also proudly take part in the Onepoto festival each year.
